As some readers know I had a very rough colon inspection six weeks ago. Recovered slowly and presently a calming stomach. Thank God the surgical executioner didn't rip my guts out!
However,I am now so sensitive to sound that an ambulance siren, a roaring drill and yapping men in a group below my apartment make me nervous (not fear--irritability). Here's something funny: I have a buzzer in my office that bongs three times if the noise level is too high in the admin area. I press it often now. Living in a busy city is becoming a nightmare whereas it was not so a year ago.
I know I'm elderly and getting older but what has happened to me? I just need peace and quiet.
